Colin Farrell looks absolutely incredible. EVERY SCENE. When he's on the screen with other actors, it's still hard to take your eyes off him. His suits, car, hair, walk, talk...he has this role down. Near perfection for me. Watch for that alone, BUT the story will keep you interested. We thought the first episode was slow, the second moved us along and committed to the remaining episodes. We love crime/detective series like on BBC (Slow Horses everyone!)...and this show has that and more with a twist.
Plus there is a dog :-).

This was hard to watch, giving me nightmares every time, and to think, this is a small glimpse into the tragedies of war. Young men and women, determined, leaders, kind, and each remarkable...broken in so many ways. My dad was in California in his last weeks of training when this war ended. He had enlisted at 18 with the same determination, trust and belief these men had, but fortunately I had my dad. (True story, he actually got to march in the victory parades in California, and some of the war torn men and women could go home to their loved ones).
The acting in Masters of the Air was surreal to me. These actors transformed me to a different place and time.
No more wars.

We enjoyed the first episode so much, and kept watching with the introduction of Rebecca Ferguson's character (Juliette) who, along side Sheriff Billings (Chinaza Uche) and Steve Zahn (!!!) we have continued to watch. The story is captivating, but I'm not sure some of the lead character acting is the best (excluding those already mentioned). Not to name anyone in particular, I find them very expected, one-dimensional and stiff. I'll blame the directing, since these actors stand out in other roles.
Just to say, we are watching Silo and Slow Horses now, and Slow Horses, the characters and acting is riveting, and the storyline (also very good) becomes secondary.
Watch Silo, and enjoy....but not the best.
