This movie is centered around Maro, a hillbilly spinster who comes to the big city to find a job. She is employed at an office as the player boss' secretary, but after she overhears him discussing her looks in the most demeaning way, she decides to teach him a lesson. She then has a makeover with the help of her party girl neighbor(who knew that she could work on the typewriter without her glasses on?) and the next day she goes to work appearing to be a party girl herself. The boss of course believes everything she is serving him and soon gets hung up on her. Will Maro be able to get out of this mess she created? And will love conquer all?

An overall okay film, enjoyable but forgettable.

This movie is about Niki, a woman who lost her good luck charm, a toy parrot, to a little boy in a set up game of poker when she was just little and since has had the worst of luck. We find her struggling to deal with her financial issues, working two jobs, as a reporter by day and a waitress by night. One day she is sent to interview a poker champion on his way to a big tournament. She soon realizes he was the boy who stole her good luck charm back in the day and decides to take it back one way or another.

This movie was much more fun than I expected and, if you look past the fact that the two leading characters started off the same age and grew up to have a ten years difference, it is very well casted. I recommend it to everyone.
