  • Joshua IS available on DVDin Widescreen!

The previous poster commented that this movie was not available in Widescreen.

There's at least 2 ways to get this in Widescreen. I've got one on the 'Quality' label - it's a 2 movie set on one disc. The other movie is some William Shatner film. I was pretty shocked to see it in widescreen considering the package was only $5.00.

The 2nd way is on the 'Legends of the West' 8 Movie Collection. I'm pretty sure that's widescreen as well.

    Slow movie that drags on.

The theme song repeats all the way throughout the movie. Don't remember if there was more than one actual song played throughout it's entirety.

This movie is really only for Blaxploitation/Fred Williamson completests.

  • Psyhic Killer - Better than I thought it would be...

To be honest, I actually looked forward to watching the entire movie...but then again I'm used to watching the worst of the worst Blaxploitation movies.

But the acting was actually really good. Of course all the characters names have already slipped my mind, but the female psychologist was really good, can't remember if I've seen her in anything else - guess I should research that.

The 'meat' scene was a lot more graphic than I expected. It was cool to see Judith Brown in something else other than all the Pam Grier movies I've seen.

One thing to improve Psychic Killer would have been more of Stack Pierce (THE black Visitor from the TV Series 'V') in the film (at least some more flashback shots would've been cool). Another thing may have been a non-matted widescreen print. Couple of things were cut off in this print. In other words, I think it was shot in 4:3, but matted for the DVD/theatre release.

I really liked this movie, and will keep it in my collection.

  • Shocking in several ways...

I just watched this movie last night. This flick (as far as I can find) is only available on VHS - I've got a version with an alternate title "Color Of Love". I have to say that Marlene Clark as "Jenny" gave a very good performance, the most believable in the film. If you are an animal activist, you may be disturbed by some of the rituals performed in the movie - although they insinuate situations, you don't actually see any animals abused....As a person who is not very religious or has an interest in voodoo, the thing that drew me to this movie was the funky music throughout the movie. One scene will have hardcore tribal music at a sacrificing ritual - then cut to a bar scene will an old man movin' to a break in "Funky But"!!! Worth watching for Marlene Clark's performance, and if you like to expand past MGM's Soul Cinema series into the odder flicks around the era...
