  • A must

Fun throw back to the late 70's-80's horror flicks. Funny & scary. It was fun watching some great actors in early roles and I thought the directors cut was a great improvement from the original. It's worth a bag of popcorn, a Twizzler and a large Icy!

  • John Wayne Prime

This is one of my all time favorite movies. It shows a sensitive and hard nose navy father with regrets and wanting to save child from his own bad choices. His affair with Patricia Neal is absolutely wonderful and the battle scenes while dated were believable and exciting. So many great actors with Kirk Douglas, Burgess Meridith, Henry Fonda on and on. I have watched it a hundred times since its release in the 60's. I wanted to join the navy because of the movie.

John Wayne was one of my heroes as a boy growing up in south Georgia. This movie is fun, exciting and at the time was almost like an episode of Dallas in years to come. It was cutting edge entertainment at the time. Divorces, living together, handicap executives....I loved the movie.
