  • Absolutely Breathtaking.

Whether whatever your beliefs are, your feelings, your own history; whether or not you were personally involved in this harrowing tragedy, or simply glued to the television, (or in my own personal case) hunkered over a radio with my co-workers in a small mill in Connecticut listening to what unfolded 10 years ago...you cannot deny the reality of what happened on September 11th. The opening episodes of this fantastic series chronicle the stories of those who perished, but also provide first hand accounts and new stories that follow the life and careers of the new brave faces that are bringing the memorial to life. And you can't help but feel vindicated while watching. This is what this country is all about. Not everyone may agree, but to have anyone refute it should be damn near impossible.

If you as a viewer are seeking a conspiracy show about the government and the terrorist attacks that took place that day--you won't find it. This IS the greatest American story ever told. And in a way, it holds both a sadness and hopeful resolve that this is, in fact, referenced many times in the show by the people involved as "a story." You will hear that many times. And that, in the most stated plain truth, is how you know that the reality of this event is now apart of history.

Once again, Dreamworks and Steven Spielberg, along with actor/narrator Ed Harris bring a breathtaking look into the spirit and altruism of the American Spirit, and all who continue to find a home in the great city of New York. This is what it's all about, and I for one can say I will be there on the opening day of the memorial.
