The second stop-motion animation picture by Wes Anderson is visually unique, breaks cultural barriers and pays homage to Japanese Cinema.
The story is set in Future Japan, where the Powerful Kobayashi Family orchestrates the quarantining of all dogs to a Trash Island. The plot gains momentum with the introduction of a Young Kobayashi Rebel, who crashes on the island in search of his pet. He is assisted by five Island dogs in his journey, that eventually shapes the narration of this movie.
This movie is headlined by a stellar voice cast. Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Bryan Cranston, Harvey Keitel and Frances McFormand to name a Few.
Anderson takes a risky approach by not providing any subtitles when the characters are speaking in Japanese, but it pays off brilliantly as the themes and ideas are easily communicated to the audience, which consequently gives the movie a truly global appeal.
The underlying themes of Dystopia, Authoritarianism, Tyranny, Segregation and Prejudice with a Quirky Wes Anderson Touch further establishes this as another Classic.

This show is nothing short of a masterpiece. It starts as a hilarious High School/True Crime satire and later transforms into a deep meditation on American pop culture.
It alludes to Reality TV, Social Media, Mainstream media, Documentary Filmmaking, Teenage woes, Celebrity status, Authoritarianism, Justice System and how the tag of High School Stereotypes remains attached and continues to define someone's life.
