Jane Gull's gritty, thought-provoking feature film, Love Without Walls, really grabs hold of you from the moment it begins. Unafraid to tackle the harsh realities of poverty-induced homelessness, modern slavery, addiction and even bad luck, this film also highlights the willingness of some people in today's society to turn a blind eye. Jane Gull's film cleverly takes us down a path that - luckily - many of us will never experience, but quite easily could, given the right circumstances.
The amazing lead actors, Shana Swash and Niall McNamee, and the super supporting cast, including the wonderful and much-loved Darren Kent (RIP), along with the original musical soundtrack do a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. And although the film is a dark and sometimes harrowing account of a couple facing adversity, it also has moments of humour and a whole lot of heart.
If you missed this film at the cinema, it'll be streaming on demand somewhere, so please check it out online. It's an incredible film and well worth a viewing.
