Here for Blood is a ton of fun. Shawn Roberts absolutely kills it with the awesome one liners while defending a house against a home invasion.
Tom (Roberts) is conned into babysitting by his girlfriend and thus starts the home invasion by a group of mask wearing killers.
The fun starts when Tom encounters the first man in a mask and kicks the loving junk out of him.
What makes this stand out from some other home invasion films is its absurdly funny humor, extremely creepy antagonists and awesomely over the top practical effects.
You find out that this home invasion is to possibly capture the little girl and anyone else is just dead meat. About a third of the way through you will probably guess the reasoning as to why they are doing it but it gets does have some twists and turns... especially when you figure out who is behind it.
Here for Blood is a lot of fun and Shawn Roberts really adds a lot with his cockiness and hilarious one liners through out the film. It also doesn't slow down at all. It's definitely worth watching if you like horror comedies.

An absolute love letter to people like me.
Who am I? A guy who grew up with Van Damme movies like Bloodsport, Kickboxer and Lionheart.
I wanna put something out there, I love Jean Claude Van Damme. He's one of my favorite persons ever. Being someone that has been through substance abuse, I feel like I can relate to his issues in the 90s and knowing his story makes me like him even more
If you wanna say he can't act.. you're just wrong. JCVD, In Hell, Darkness of Man, The Bouncer. Those are prime examples of his acting abilities. He doesn't get enough credit.
But let's get down to the movie. I've seen it a few times now and it gives me that sense of nostalgia. A BIG thing is they got back Paul Hertzog to do the music. This makes, literally, every scene better. If you grew up with 80's Van Damme movies, you will immediately know this type of music.
Now the cast. This cast is amazing. Let's begin.
Billy Blanks, Kurt McKinney (No Retreat, No Surrender), Cynthia Rathrock, both the Quissi bothers from kickboxer, Bloodsport lionheart and the Quest, David Yeung, Bolo Yeungs real son, which I really hoped he had more screen time cause he's a dang beast and my dude David Kurzhal... he's more known as Viking Samurai on YouTube. This is also big to me because he does tons of interviews with more lesser known people. And.. he's an overall good person.
But yes, cast aside, how is the movie? It's great. It's exactly what you expect it to be. A cheese ball 80s style film that isn't BSing its way through that. That's what people my age have enjoyed our entire life. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Bloodsport. How many times I've seen Terminator and Rocky. That's what I grew up with and The Last Kumite is a love letter to us, as fans. It's exactly what I wanted out of a film like this and it hits hard.
I do have to say, the music again, by Paul Hertzog, 1000/1000. Love the living potato's out of it.
