Don't know why people have given this a poor rating. OK it's not a great horror film, but it is an easy watch and quite fun too.

The acting is good, and there are a few familiar faces from other productions people may have seen.

The story isn't bad either and makes a change from the usual 'teen' horrors and 'cabin in the woods' type of rubbish being churned out nowadays.

This is a solid film with a good story and superb acting, so there is no reason for it's rating to be so low.

I suspect that because this is billed as a 'horror' viewers had different expectations.

I would say this is a thriller - and a good one at that. A bit more Hitchcock and not so much slasher - or whatever other people were looking for.

The story is well written with enough in it to keep you wondering where it is going.

The performances by all the cast is superb, as is the production.

Considering this is not a big movie with a major budget the producers and director have done a good job of using what they have.

All in all - give it a watch but don't expect gruesome horror - it's just not that kind of film.

This is an OK watch if you can stand the ridiculous overacting of McEvoy, which was verging on ham.

Then the overly stereotypical characters of neurotic middle-class parents becomes really annoying after a while.

On top of this there are the most ridiculous responses to situations which either involve acting extremely stupidly or making the most illogical decisions (you'll soon see them if you watch this film).

There are also a lot of careless continuity errors, which (again) become annoying, which one wouldn't expect in a film of this supposed caliber.

Yet another mediocre and unnecessary remake of a really good film. Watch the original rather than this poor copy.
