Keelhaul the filmakers! I'm up to Ep. 4 and shocked that they give Blackbeard's last name as Thatch, both in the audio and subtitles. It it well known his name was Edward Teach. That is only one example of the historical inaccuracy in this minseries. . As for entertainment, it has some good CGI ships and some bloody violence, but overall lacks interest. Like a soap opera it has nice visuals, but more often things are told rather than shown. The several piratically dressed narrators make it even more so.

Why does it suddenly drop off any mention of the Spanish treasure fleets?

I'd put this in "goofs" which for some reason is not available. What is IMBd's problem? Is 600 words a new requirment? I see a review from 2021 with lss than 100 words!

60 years later this episode sticks in my mind, although I think some of the backround and explanation of events may have been distorted in my memory, or perhaps misinterpreted at the time. I had not known until now that it was based on a H. G. Wells story. I'd rate it up there with the best of The Twilight Zone episodes. It is too bad there is no way to add a review on the IMDb page for the episode. Is this series available to view today? A 600 character requirement for a review here seems unduly restrictive, as it is hard to remember details about the performance after all this time, and I don't want to give away the plot.

There are many books that go deeper into the association of the Kennedy's and the Mob ,and the activities of the FBI and CIA. What happened to the tapes Otash and other made at her house and Lawford's house? What happened to her diary? There's a lot of information about her death and the coverup. What I've read leads to the conclusion she was murdered by a drug "hot shot." She knew too much and was threatening to tell all. Ohers were killed, such as Dorothy Kilgallen, Hoffa, Oswald, James Forrestal, other Kennedy mistresses, perhaps John Kennedy, Jr., etc.
