For a TV movie? This is astounding. The quality of the production is amazing. The details in the acting and the unique style of the film make this one to watch out for. And the story? Based on a very intriguing true story. Thanks everyone for making this movie, and showing us how good "made for TV productions can be".
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate that not everyone will like this film. It's romantic, slushy and predictable (sorry, but its true). And there are some people who just don't like this kind of film.
Personally, I love it. I love the romance of the plot, I love David Duchovny's performance. I love Minnie Driver's performance. I love everyones performance - even the children. I love the old men. I love the sound track. And, most of all, I love the writing. The screenplay is marvelous - there should have been an Oscar nomination. It is dramatic, serious, funny and touching all at the same time.
If you have a romantic heart, you'll love this film. If you don't, you won't. Give it a go though, because you won't know until you try it.
