I believe imission majnu isnt completely factual but yeah the way people of pakistani are watching it and reacting is very hillarious. Its favouring netflix and the movies viewership. Coming to the movie its just a formulaic spy movie which works in parts due to the tested and tried method of adding thrills. Still i felt the direction could have been better and editing a bit less sharper so that the emotions could be brought out well. Racy screenplay and background music is good. Rashmika and sidharth pair lacks chemistry and scenes involving rashmika are a huge let down. Dont know who cast her in this non glamourous intense movie. Good that they havent put much songs in it. Again the infusion of patriotism works well enough.

Pluses.

1 fast paced screenplay 2.good bgm 3. Few thrills here and there.

4. Sharp editing 5. Adequate acting by sidharth,sharib hashmi and kumud mishra. Their bonding stood out for me in the movie. I wish they had made it more emotional from that perspective.

Negatives 1. Rashmika mandana 2. Under utilisation of zakir hussain and parmeet sethi characters.

3. No emotional connect at places 4. Mediocre direction 5. Rashmika and sidharth chemistry.

Verdict- it would have worked even in theatres its a good entertaining movie despite its flaws. One time watch!!

When i saw the trailer first i was least interested because it felt as if its another boring murder mystery. Even it was quite a lot boring to begin with but as the twists started coming it was a much easier affair. It wont be fair to compare but the movie is on the lines of dj tillu( though dj tillu was way more funnier). Had the start 20-25 minutes been wrote properly this movie would have been up with the greats. Even the comedy fell flat at few places.

Positives 1. Twists 2. Unpredictability 3. Crisp runtime Negatives 1. Flat comedy 2. Writing of initial 30 minutes or so 3. Vicky kaushals performance was not upto the mark 4. No notable song except for bijli 5. Resemblance to dj tillu Verdict- a one time watch for the twists. Had the comedy been upto the mark it was a sure shot winner.

Radhe shyam was clearly one of the movies for which i was the most excited in 2022. The trailer and the songs had created a premise that in my mind was way different from that i got to see on the screens. Vintage setting with palmistry as the theme should be a winner on any day. But the story and the screenplay havent utilised anything that have been given to work on. The movie felt hurried with lack of emotions. It felt as if focus was on the rich visuals and not on anything else. Prabhas and pooja hegde chemistry was a big negative. For the story that was presented it could have been done for a budget that was 10 times lesser than the actual one. Very very disappointing script!!
