I watched all the episodes of this wonderful series in a Bing completely by chance without any prior knowledge or acquaintance with the actors. I am a retired non-French detective superintendent and 30 years ago I worked with the legendary special unit La Brigade Criminelle of Paris on a case of a crime family. One of the famous and respected French directors Olivier Marchal served as a detective in this unit in the past and shoot few crime movies depicted his ex unit. The series is very authentic, the work of the semi-secret unit is depicted as in reality, the tension and friendships between the police officers are almost documentary. This is not a James Bond movie where the good guys always win. Cops get hurt too. They also fail, just like in real life. The filming is very frantic and realistic, and the chases through the streets of Paris, a city I love very much, gave me great pleasure. All the actors gave realistic performances. I watched with subtitles. I'm not French and maybe I missed something that French viewers think differently. In any case, I'm waiting and hoping that I'll be able to watch the second season.
Overall score here: 6.6 Not fair, the production of this film deserves much more. Reliable acting by all the actors, amazing shots of the snowy landscapes of Sweden, a great soundtrack and of course the plot that holds quite a few unexpected surprises for the viewer. What more do I need as a viewer?
