As a Go Min-See fan I had to see this and she's a lovely as she always is.
The chemistry between her and the male lead however is unconvincing, not well founded and honestly varying from cringe to annoying.
This mostly has to to with the -intended- arrogance, clumsiness and inaptness of the male character that is supposed to transform in the series, but remains unconvincing imho.
The supporting cast was fine and I enjoyed both sides of the parties motives and antics..
The story is bland, predictable, very shallow and not really interesting. Sadly the acting of both leads is not their best either in telling/playing out that story.
The whole show really hinges on the evolving relationship between the 2 leads and the whole culinary story is never more than a tool to make the story move, it has no soul or depth.
The relationship between the 2 leads just doesn't ever get convincing though.. neither party succeeded to deliver as the characters stick to their scripted 1 dimensional tropes.
The script just did not allow them to go into real emotions even though the story does want to deliver a big turn around.
The emotional events happens but I can't feel it as a viewer... its not built up/acted out convincingly.
For me episode 8 was the best point to end the series.. episode 9 & 10 are unnecessary and don't make sense.
Can't recommend this one. Sadly...

The series is truly dramatic with strong emotions whirling the viewer from left to right, up and down...
There wasn't too much depth to the story or characters I feel, but the performance of most of the cast of lead performers is very entertaining.
Its very easy to get involved in the plights of the characters.
The romance is unmistakably there and even though the intrigues are somewhat predictable it delivers beautiful cinematography and heart touching events.
I would strongly advise viewers to not watch the final episode though because it doesn't make any sense at all and solely aims to be dramatic and tear jerking.
Just stick to the first 11 episodes and you'll get all of the main story elements completed in a very satisfying way and have fond memories of this series.
Last of all.. its impossible to watch this series and not fall in love with Gominsi, so I admit being guilty to that too.
