On the first episode you already know what happened to the boy but the suffocanting part is when all that they know about his death is questioned and the way that the event sequences are shown make you feel like you're part of the indignation and wrath that the people from that tiny city felt.

When people talk about Alexander you imagine something really great which is only compare to his real acts, but when you think that the history is going to somewhere remarkable or epic they just start going to another direction. With such good actors on the roll they knew how to didn't use it.
