Ballerina is a good movie and worth watching, especially if you enjoy that type of movie. The plot is what one would expect from a John Wick movie, the action scenes are well done and the characters are well portrayed. And unlike most action movies with a female lead these days, in Ballerina Eve works hard to earn her skills and gets beat down by larger opponents. She uses speed, wits and marksmanship to defeat them. I think it was well done. Additionally, there is no sense of a woman stealing a man's work like what happens in many movies/shows coming out of the modern "entertainment" industry. I hope to see Ana de Armas reprise the role in the future.
A movie about a bunch of characters I don't know and don't care about. Furthermore, I couldn't even tell three of the male characters apart, they all looked the same. I just looked them up and from their profile pictures they all look the same. Couldn't wardrobe change their appearance? Or was generic male character the point? The modern "entertainment" industry hates men so maybe making them generic male character was the goal. This movie might have been ok as season two of series where you had time to get to know the characters and learn to tell them apart, but as a movie sequel it was just confusing and dull.
Meh. This show had potential, but there was not enough story and way too much weird camera work. There definitely wasn't enough story for the slow pacing. Like a lot of modern shows/movies, they didn't have much story and they tried to stretch it out with fluff and exceedingly slow pacing. Almost every episode felt like 20 minutes stretched into 45. And whatever they were going for with the weird camera work failed miserable. It was just annoying and stupid. But I will give the show credit for not being a sequel, a prequel or a remake, not being about superheroes from comics and adequate acting.
