Still remember watching this in the theater with my friends when it came out and wish I could do so again. This one of a kind film captured my heart and brought to mind memories of my childhood and feelings that I had forgotten.
The existential storyline and the performances by Pitt were great. The camera work was also surreal and caught the mood of the film perfectly. I could go on and on about this film but I have to go. I'll come back and fill out this more completely later as I just got this film on Blu-Ray and want to watch all the special features first.

Reminds me a lot of another favorite film of mine, Another Earth, which is maybe why I liked this film so much.
The story in this film moves a bit slow at first and the main actress comes across a little stiff in the beginning but after the film starts to take off, I got why she was acting that way and it all started to make a lot more sense.
I was really touched by the scenes with her father and especially the diner scene where she calls her sister and the tiny road scene afterwards with the pink sky. I'm not sure why, but those were my favorite scenes in the film.
I got taken out of the film a couple times by a sound issue but it was minor. I also thought some of the characters were laying on the themes of the film a bit heavy but maybe you have to do that in movies now.
All in all, I loved the film. Even more now that I've had time to process it and hopefully it'll come out on Blu-ray too so I can add it to my movie collection.

Not sure when I first saw this movie but it has stuck with me through the years and has been the reason why I always check out films with Brit Marling in them. Love her performances and usually love the storylines in the films that she's in.
This one in particular stuck with me most because of the alternate reality or what could have been aspect of the film. With the main character's life in such disarray and given the chance to escape, she instead meets a different version of herself and sees what her life could have been! Really a unique story.
