  • Different for Daytime

I must agree with the other reviewers. I recently had a baby and was not looking forward to the usual daytime drivel on television whilst on maternity leave. This programme was such a saving grace and is such a refreshing change.

The varying panel provides a mixed view of perspectives on topical subjects and Mathew Wright oversees proceedings in a light hearted but sensitive manner.

It is an excellent way to get an overview of the daily papers and controversial discussion points. The contributions from the public and the audience help to keep the pace of the show lively.

The only criticism I do have is for the final segment of the show in which members of the public are encouraged to call up with problems for discussion with an expert. I'm not at all sure that this is suitable given the fast paced nature of the show and you are often left feeling as though some very vulnerable people's serious problems have been rushed through. However I understand that this is a new-ish segment to the show and I am sure that with time they will get it (w)right.

    Thoroughly enjoyable overall!
