A refreshing departure from the usual run of the mill bollywood stuff this movie is worth watching at least once. Although blatantly copied from its Hollywood version "Jagged Edge"(upto the character 't' of typewriter), this movie doesn't sound too far fetched even in Indian context. Lisa Ray has done well as a progressive lawyer considering this was her first film. Ashutosh Rana as usual was brilliant. Even Aftab was able to pass muster though just barely. Overall if you don't have to have usual latka-jhatkas to enjoy a bollywood movie don't let this one passby.
The movie starts off quite well with excellent restrained performances by full cast including Amitabh and Akshay. The Amitabh fits prefectly in his role of a self-made, high-profile, hard-working buisnessman. Akshay deviating from his usual action/slap-stick-comedy roles, has done a commendable job as well educated, new generation son of Amitabh. The first half of the movie is good with well written script and good characterization.
Its the second half of the movie that reduces it to just another typical bollywood drama with loud acting, unrealistic situations and too predictable happy ending.
So overall 6 out of 10.

This eagerly waited movie could very well turn out be a film-noir among hindi movies. No one else could have pulled it off except Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpai considering the theme that movie is based upon. Although heavily "inspired" by movies like Fallen and Face/Off, this has a unique bollywood feel all along.
Ofcourse it probably wont be a commercial success as its content is too surreal for mass audience but film is definitely worth watching if you enjoy "ab-normal" films. The biggest asset of the movie is excellent performances by Amitabh and Manoj. The production values are of high quality, even choreography of the songs is innovative.
So in short if you can digest the plot, you will enjoy it.
