I saw this movie as a Social-Cultural movie. And i liked it. Other users hated it because he expected another kind of movie... more comedy than drama. It's a drama movie, showing a different (covered) perspective view of the society. We have changed: in spite of economic progress, we are more selfish, we (still) have a short-term view of global warming/contamination, etc. And it shows while Song Soo-Jung (Ji-Hyun Jun) captures her neighbor behavior (Jeong-Min Hwang) for her documentary.
It's a simple good movie (if your expectation is to watch a Drama movie), great performance (as usual) of both leading actors, with average photography and direction.

Never have I been so captivated by a character and his life. Russell Crowe should get the Academy award for his excellent performance in this movie, that's for sure. Watch it and you'll have no doubt about that. Issues such as mental illness where you can't tell the difference between reality and delusion, the "power of the mind and the courage of the heart" are touched in a way that makes this movie an unforgettable one.
Ron Howard? He did a fantastic job. Beautiful Jennifer Connelly's performance is impeccable as well as Ed Harris' and the rest of the cast. Further, I couldn't have expected a better ending. A Beautiful Mind is worth being seen and enjoyed by everybody.
Big applause for John Nash, (who most definitely "saw the world in a way no one could have imagined"), and for Alicia Nash, all his reasons.
