Where to begin.. the next level acting? The emotional stories? The bonds between family and friends.. If this episode was a year long, I would watch it! I love it that much.
I've bingewatched NCIS yearly since it came out.
On this one I noticed more things, maybe because they are personally more relevant. But in any case, like 2 simple reactions to phone conversations by Gibbs (an officer replying on his dad's phone, look for that, pauze it. You can see that's how we are in that moment. Perfect moment capture.. And later by Tony (McGee screwed up!). The reactions were just perfect, like how I would have reacted if it happened now. I don't know how they got it that right, but you can see the quality of the show very easily. Than the story with Gibbs and his dad, that was intense! Every dad - son relation is always "interesting", but this hits close to home. Bookmark this episode!

The concept of the story and all the acting was perfect. Carla Salle was really wonderful in her role. The main topic's were handled and explained pretty logically, so some effort was put into making the show realistic.
But they really should have made the series a bit shorter, because you can see parts were really not necessary and were just for stretching the show, so some scenes were really hard to watch. Especially the romance parts, trying to take do something illegal,.. those scenes were milked like a cow.
I think without those, this show would have been perfect. Visually it's already awesome, the acting was great, the story concept is pretty unique. It was all ready, but they missed their chance to make it bigger.
In any case, still a pretty fun sci-fi & dystopian show for those who love the genre. Just some fast-forwarding might be needed sometimes to keep the fun, which it is, at the proper level.

I have to start with the obvious, the "hollywoodification" of certain subjects, which gets annoying because it has become tooooo obvious, like: there is a military "war" becuase.. "Civil War", yet all the buildings and cities are in prestine condition and shining! And for some reason, again as we are used to, in the "on the ugly battlefield/explosion" scenes or locations have so much Arabic (whyyyy?) writing, you are wondering how this is an American civil war..
If you can just ignore that, the entertainment value is just epic, this would easily have been a 9/10 epic if they just didn't to that. The actors were just as good as you hoped and "the urgency of situation" part of the story was just perfect, like you would expect from any big classics.
It's just, can we also stop "washing" things, like war is just an inconvenience and it has, for some reason, always Arabs suffering. That is just no longer acceptable for 2025. We can see daily how civil wars look like with our own eyes, it's in Europe now. Come on! This movie could have been a good wake up call, so a big cultural treasure.. but they missed/kicked that boat. So 7/10.
