This series was definitely not as good as strong girl Bong Soon. I was not attracted by the previews and probably would not have watched it except for the cameos by the leads from Bong Soon.
This series seemed to spend more time on family members than on the supposed main character. It was interesting to see three generations for strong women facing various challenges, but it felt like the mother was the lead rather than Bong Soon. There were lots of comments about needing Bong Soon to "consummate" that didn't move the story along and sort of fell flat.
There was no chemistry between Bong Soon and her boyfriend. Actually it is hard to see how any man would be attracted to her. Whoever created the character mistook juvenile behavior as a good way to depict the naivete of a girl who grew up in the countryside of another country. Her behavior was annoying and more believable for a middle schooler than a grown woman.

As the series progressed I found less interest in the lead couple and was instead rooting for the second couple. The male lead in the first couple has no romantic vibe at all. I know he's a good actor from other series so am not sure if the part was written as totally wooden with no affection or romance and he's doing a good job, or if romance is not his best genre as an actor. For that reason The lead female's jealousy comes across as unbelievable. There is an
Interesting storyline about the role of translators/interpreters in the movie industry that made me even more appreciative of people who make subtitles for us.
I really loved the storyline and the action. The actors were very good and the special effects were amazing. I never felt that the story line dragged as happens in some dramas. There seemed to be just the right number of episodes needed to tell the story. I liked the way they gradually rolled out the back story that was the foundation for the two seasons. I have to admit I was a bit confused at first, but as they rolled out hints and scenes from the past i caught on quickly. The ending was a bit of a surprise for me as I thought it could go two ways.
The end of episode 12 left it open for season 3! 🙏🏻🤞
