An effective stalk n' slash thriller that has a likeable lead and some tense chase scenes. The concept is fairly unique (I haven't seen it done before) and the xecution is pretty good, considering the obvious budget restrictions.
The film doesn't skimp on the red stuff - throats are splashily cut or punctured and in one particularly gnarly scene, one victim is disemboweled. The lead actress is really good and likeable, and the killer is suitably menacing.
I saw the other 1 star review for this film and I'm not sure what they were watching or expecting - if you're looking for 90 minutes of enjoyable cat-and-mouse slasher fun where you can switch your brain off and just enjoy the carnage, you can do a lot worse than Bad Connection.

A masterclass of pacing with fun twists and enough grossness to keep you on edge. An excellent performance from Mia Goth (as usual) and lots of outrageous WTF moments. As far as the Cronenberg family goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to disturbing and uncomfortable filmmaking.
Some people describe Infinity Pool as a body horror film. I suppose, there is an element of a variation of body horror present. But if you're looking for the kind of body horror present in David Cronenberg films like Videodrome or The Fly, you won't get that here.
Overall more of an interesteing thought experiment than an entertaining movie, but interesting nevertheless..
