Whether you like this movie or not will likely depend on what you look for in a zombie film. If you only like blockbuster level movies, this obviously isn't for you. If you appreciate low budget films but insist on high levels of gore, nudity, and sex scenes, this one also isn't for you. However, if you enjoy a low budget film with an original storyline, a creepy location, and adequate special effects, you should give this movie a try. It turned out to be much better than I expected.
As others have pointed out, the actors are actually scientists/students doing studies at the LHC. So, at times they seem to not react as fully as one might expect and the acting is a bit flat here and there. However, having known physics majors in college, the sometimes stiff and awkward expressions of emotions actually seemed really accurate to me, and I found the cast believable in that regard as "physics nerds." I also think that the portrayals of Amy and Connor were very convincing. The creepy location and sound effects also worked for me as a substitute for more polished production values. I was invested in the characters and storyline and enjoyed the movie through to the surprise ending.
This is one of those well scripted B-movies that I think is better than many of the high budget movies out there that focus more on special effects. Definitely give this a try if you are a low budget zombie film aficionado.
