Way overrated, imo. And still, no stakes. Overly dragging, which in turn makes you sleepy in the first half. But the final 25 minutes was eye-candy! Particularly, the one-shot fight. Not Vecna's! Stranger things was never a thought-out-till-the-end series. It never was, whatever the writers are doing, it looks as if it's made up on the spot, and it seriously shows here. Or maybe I forgot everything that happened before. I don't know, maybe in hindsight, I'd change my score after re-watch. The twist was not jaw-dropping or anything. What are people on about? Imo, "The Massacre at Hawkins Lab" is still the best, if memory serves right. The power-up was necessary but it was only teased this season. Like I said, not very planned writing. The plot-armour is insane to the point I'd say Reiner from AOT has a better one and that's just ridiculous.
First of all, wow. Probably one of the best "Batle episode" I have ever seen from a tv show. An episode of 50 minutes felt less than 30 minutes.
The twist with Viktor and Jayce, wow. Impeccable and brilliant. The music, the animation, always at top. Always stand out, always stays with you. Never got to experience a show like Arcane, ever. It's just built different. But I would pick S1 over S2. S1 was peak of tv debut seasons. It's untouchable. That doesn't mean S2 isn't. This show is peak. And I can't say it enough. The ending scene with Powder could've been avoided but they've gone for that take.
And I didn't watch the show with my eye closed, it was clear that certain scenes were rushed. And i'd be more pissed if people didn't acknowledge that fact. Particularly, S2 was had breakneck pacing, in some episodes, but not every one. But that doesn't affect the story much, it just affects the drama. And I'm fine with their being less drama. If you look at it, the rushed scenes weren't really rushed, it was just that certain characters never really got to say more with each other.
