Sometimes with our phones - and security cameras, ubiquitous they've become - we (women) might feel more secure than what we actually are in some (or many, even) situations. This was a vivid and startling reminder to listen to your instincts when something or someone doesn't...seem quite right. Be kind and be gracious...but don't be too trusting of anyone you don't know when you're alone.
It's a reminder to women of all generations, but especially young women. Be good to yourself and trust that voice inside of you when it speaks up in a scenario that makes you feel even slightly uncomfortable.
This isn't just a reminder for women, either. Abusers come in all forms and can abuse any gender.
Stay safe, everyone. The movie was uncomfy, but for me.... it was an alarming reminder to be vigilant.

My review echos what most have already said...
This documentary rips your heart out and crushes it, probably about 67 times with all of the twists and new evidence.
Something extraordinary and worth more than just merely mentioning... our girl literally lived in trauma... her. Entire. Life. Likely from her earliest memories until her TOD. The worst types of trauma... over and over and over and over... groundhog trauma...
Through these daily, lifelong abuses, she was still able to... love. To excel in school. To be a true friend. To be the best mother and protector she could be in each circumstance.
"Hurt people, hurt people." She was a miraculous exception to this rule. Through all of her constant horrific experiences that she could not escape, where she didn't have life choices of her own to make.... she still chose to love.
That speaks volumes.
