I thought this movie was GREAT! I have been to several festivals where this movie was shown and won. As a former band member myself, I remember the close ties I had with all the members of our organization. I believe that the discipline students learn from practicing and figuring out scores of music in invaluable as they move forward in life. This film is a wonderful piece and highlights the need to keep band programs in schools. I was involved with the students and cried right along with them when they lost their competition. This movie should be shown in every school district to remind people why music is so important to life!

I like to go to the movies... this one is a movie I would see again and again. The characters were interesting and made me want to know more about them. They all seemed to have life experiences that were worth knowing about. I would love to see this film as a series and follow all the characters on a week to week basis. This is way better than reality TV! What happens to Catfish after he buys Jupiter Landing and gets a "real" girlfriend? Does Nicky ever get a real job as a reporter? What becomes of Tyson after he gets out of jail? Do he and Nicky stay together. What about Dumpster Dude? Does he get to move on or does he stay around and keep people guessing. I think these characters could really keep me interested for a long time.
