A well-known story of Laila and Majnu. However, writer has made the story for today with genuious. Direcector rightly chose the Kashmiri muslim family and the neighbourhood. And finaly the lead actor and actress acted so realistically and appropriately to the point of the story that you would really feel for them with heavy heart.
A simple story! A simple movie! However, selection of characters very pertinent to the story, filming those characters with some infamous, yet very talented, actors, and finally the very message of the story of the movie - I AM AS I AM - made this movie a good one.
