Impeccable storytelling. As a true crime lover I've watched/listened to almost every documentary or podcast when it comes to serial killers, including all of the MONSTERS series on Netflix.
Peacock really hit it out of the park with their depiction of John Wayne Gacy. JWG, in my opinion, holds a candle to the likes of Dahmer or Gein due to the fact that his story will definitely make you queasy. I mean they all do, but when you can take on writing such a story with enough thought and research, and give credit to the victims and their families, it can be easier to stomach.
Bravo to Peacock for the outstanding writing, casting, and direction. The mood is dark and ominous, perfectly paced, and worth the watch.

Still re-watch to this day completely amazed. I have read all of the books ten times over. You can't get better screenplay than this, which is a historic feat. John Williams score is one for the record books (along with many others!!!) It's hard to put into words what these books meant to MOST of us. 10/10.
