I'm not a Star Trek person and I never have been. That said, I was told by someone I know to watch-- due to it being so bad. This was genuinely abysmal, to a degree I didn't know was even possible. The dialogue is odd and so is the directing. Even Michelle Yeoh couldn't save this dumpster fire. None of the characters (from the short time we knew them) were at all interesting or likeable. If someone told me that this show was some AI generated experiment I would have zero trouble believing that. Now I realize that other Star Trek shows aren't bad, they're just not my thing and that's fine. Because none of them are even half as hard to get through an episode as this was. It's a poor imitation of Star Trek and I am generally depressed that this has been introduced into that universe, as I've heard proper Star Trek fans are. Wish I hadn't wasted my time on this. Pretty sure if someone wanted to torture me, showing me this "film" on repeat would be the way to do so.
This show sucks and is way worse than everybody says it is.
