  • Tarik Akin at his funniest

This is a Turkish Uncle Buck. A funny slob (Tarik Akan)leaves his village after getting in to trouble. He leaves with his friend ( Suleyman Turan)who blackmails him by putting a stolen diamond in his pocket. He comes to stay at his sisters house and all the family are glad to see him, but not his brother in law who hates him. Here he falls in love with Murads (his nephews)teacher Zehra (Hale Soygazi) they get married and Tarik eventually finds a job and settles down. First however he has to find his friend who blackmailed for revenge as the mafia boss wants the stolen diamond and kidnaps Murad for it. However Tarik gets Murad back by blackmailing the mafia bosses henchmen. For this Tarik and his brother in law become friends and a family.

This film had some hillarious and intelligent scenes in it. I found it more funny and intelligent then stuff from Hollywood i.e Friends and Will and Grace which are stupid and boring rather then funny and have a c*** story line. These are only funny beacuse they use sexual jokes. Even though it was cheap to make it had funny scenes such as Tarik and Murad stealing an obese mans bike and him running after them. Another one was when Tarik had his first job and his boss upset Murad. So he pretended to be a barber and made a birds nest of his hair....revenge is sweet.

This film explores the closeness of a family and how much they look out for each other no matter what, so it was a funny moral film and about forgiveness. Hale Soygazi was her greatest here, she was one hot girl and I got hooked on to her.
