Loved it. I am sick of superhero movies, there are way too many. But this one is very different. Love the mysticism and premise, very original. Good main actor. Love that they are Russian. I hope they make a second one. As I said in my headline, the one bad thing is they CGIed the wrong animals who are not native there. When I googled, I saw there actually was that type of Buffalo there, but clearly only brought in by a farmer, not native. Next one movie making folks, do your research. But I am not going to give a low rating as I want a second movie to be made. Hope that happens. Thanks for reading.

I haven't read the books. This hooked me. Beautiful filming and pace, well put together. Good characters, and I am anticipating the episode releases every week. I suppose the only far fetched thing is so many deaths in a tiny place. But perhaps the bad energy from the history of the place is being used in the story to explain it. Can't wait for more!

Weird reviews from folks. It wasn't amateur nor badly written like those reviewers said, the characters don't come across as American... they say Alfred Molina's character did schooling in England, which helps with his accent. The other characters come across Canadian. The First Nations thread was done well.

Sorry, didn't like it. As I was watching I was researching the accuracy. Why tf did they lie unnecessarily? He wasn't arrested. He wasn't friends with BB King and so wouldn't be qarching Little Richard with him. And why were they playing modern music in the movie? It jumped around so much it was not great storytelling.

The lead actor was great. But now you are going to have younger generations believing lies. They made a lot of assumptions that people would know who all the people were and his story. I found myself irritated in the movie.

Pros - the kid they got to play him as a child really looked like him. Again, the lead actor great.
