I just love this movie. Well parts of it. The entire movie, up until Izzy get's kidnapped, is great. I, believe it or not, did feel the connection between Izzy and Celia. I love Willem Defoe, however it just dragged after that point. I bought the book, have the soundtrack, just love love love it. I especially love the restaurant scene where Izzy loses his temper. Funny.
I just love this movie. I feel the emotions of the characters. It got alittle cheesy at times, but it's a good movie when you are feeling sad and low. It's not exactly a pick me up movie. This movie should be on Lifetime Television.
Does anyone with Santeria knowledge know the meaning behind Lupita mixing her blood with paint, and then painting her brothers face? This was at the end of the episode. Also, what is the significance of the three coins on the chain? Overall it was a boring episode, too much time spent develping Brian Benben's character, but hopefully it will heat up in the next episode. The lead actor, Yancey, is reason enough for me to watch...meow!
