I love this film. I always have. This, in my opinion, is one of Quentin Tarantino best films. It is just so different then any of his work at that time. This was his 3rd major film and it was very different. The story is about a criminal, that thinks he is super big time, that is a guns dealer that will do whatever he needs to do to survive. He will kill and manipulate if thats necessary. As he is recruiting new employees old employees are causing him problems and all he wants to do is make a certain amount of money and then get out of the game. This film is great. Samuel L. Jackson, Pam Grier, Robert DeNiro, Robert Foster, and Chris Tucker just being this story alive. I would recommend this excellent thriller.
This is a classic film. They do not make them like this anymore. This is a intense, psychological thriller that must be viewed only with a strong stomach. It is not for the weak. The story is about two detectives, one about to retire in 7 days and the other new to the business. The older detective, played excellently by Morgan Freeman, is burnt out but you can tell he is sharp and great in his day. The younger detective, played by Brad Pitt you can also tell that he is sharp and ready to take on the world, but he has a lot to learn. The story is about the two detectives chasing after a sick killer that is killing people that are violating the 7 deadly sins, in his mind. I love how mysterious and dark this film is. It makes for a great film. Classic.
For me to be a movie person I am about 40 years late to the party on this one. I am also a big fan of Steven Spielberg and his work, so I am not sure why I am just now getting around to this but I really enjoyed the film from start to finish. The film is about a alien that gets lost and stranded on Earth and all he wants to do is get back home with his family, so to speak. But along the way he finds a family of kind hearted kids that fall in love with him. But it isn't his family and he just wants to get home. This film is very touching and fun to watch. Good family film even in 2025. I was super late to the party.
