Not a bad Mexican film or Zorro film. Even the music is catchy. There's plenty here to satisfy any Zorro fan. Rodolfo Der Anda is a fine example of Zorro. Throw in the always reliable Pedro Armendariz, Jr., and Jorge Russek and you have a very enjoyable movie. Plenty of action and sword play. We even get two Zorros for the price of one and a beautiful senorita to boot. Some Kung-fu taught to Don Diego by his Chinese house boy/assistant gives this film a twist. The sets look like they used authentic Mexican ranchos and towns. The musical score uses a main theme over and over but it is not hard on the ears and actually is better than the normal fair for such a low-budget outing. All in all a pleasant surprise.
