ANNA is a very uneven film BUT Sally Kirkland's performance is not. Shame that more people didnt see if they did she might have gotten an Academy Award. Fortunately she was nominated.
JULIA is a fine film. Fonda as Hellman is very good as is Robards as Dashell Hammett. But the real prize is the performance of Vanessa Redgrave as Julia. Though her part is small she is absolutely glowing as Julia. Her face is very radiant and she projects so much with her eyes. She is a great actress indeed.
Vanessa Redgrave gives a great one in this film. Though I know very little about the real Isadora Duncan it really does not matter for Redgrave is so thoroughly into her character that we think she is Duncan. Redgrave has to rank as one of the great actresses of our time.
