This is a nice realistic look at teenage life without the melodrama of popularity contests and prom queen/king stuff you see so often in Hollywood movies set in high school. The confusion in Shizuku's mind about what she wants to do in life is something most kids can relate to. Needless to say the quality of animation is excellent.

Here's a movie which is not made for arty cinema lovers per se. It captures the craziness surrounding a typical North Indian wedding. I liked the lead characters since they were credible and interesting. They were so normal people unlike mainstream Indian cinema from Bollywood. It made me chuckle at times. -gg
This one beats all the hyped sitcoms like Seinfeld hands down when it comes to characters and laughs. I've watched many episodes of the latter, and yet failed to get hooked. I agree with another reviewer who compares the show to such mediocre ones like Frasier, Suddenly Susan, Veronica's closet etc.
But yes, the show ceased to be funny with Phil Hartman's death. It is a source of enjoyment to me on the rerun channels. Don't miss it! Weeknights on UPN44 at 11.30pm.
