It's great to see the LEGO game devs doing something that resembles their previous work, as this feels like a classic LEGO game with how the level design, hub world, and the characters abilities to an extent function. The level design can definitely be off at times, but when it's done right it's great, especially in the FNAF level which was something that I've wanted to see for almost a decade. The combat is also a lot more engaging than any of the LEGO Games were, even Skywalker Saga, as that game had really poor ai. The main problem with this game is the character roster which I thought was mediocre. All of the characters in this game are pretty much the exact same with the exact mechanics. Very few of them are unique in any way and this definitely made the game exponentially more boring for me. The game also had an atrocious launch on PC. Constant bugs, almost every level getting softlocked, deceptive DLC practices, and the game even gave me a blue screen of death. Compared to Skywalker Saga which had a very seamless PC launch compared to PlayStation and especially Xbox, this is disappointing. I also wish that each franchise got equal treatment in the story mode and that the devs focused more on which franchise has more interesting characters rather than which one they wanted to focus on when it came to picking the characters, because putting the lame ability mechanics aside, a lot of the character choices are pretty boring as Hot Fuzz over twice the amount of characters as FNAF and fives times the amount of characters as Mega Man. Another minor problem I have is that although I like how they called back to the classic LEGO Game hubs, I don't like how they handled the open world in this game and I wish it was done more like Mario Odyssey where the levels are the open world. Overall this is still a good game despite what any trash video essay channels will tell you, but I definitely think that there is room for improvement and 1010 Games are gonna have to change a lot of the mechanics here in order to make something that stands on-par with most of the LEGO Games.
Cartoon Fight Club
This is an episode of All-Star Showdown, not an episode of Cartoon Fight Club. I don't know what its doing here. This should definitely be removed from the Cartoon Fight Club episode count and maybe even put into a page for the All-Star Showdown versus show. Although the fact that most of the episodes have been privated and the only that hasn't was blocked worldwide might be a problem. As for the actual episode, its fine I guess. I have pretty much nothing to say about it since its a perfectly serviceable versus episode. The animation barely had any fighting and the outcome is somewhat questionable.
After I had to reinstall the DLC, the game finally started working the way I wanted it to. It's a little bit laggy sometimes, but really easy to get used to. Other than that, there aren't any other glitches in this game. But as for the game itself, it's incredible. This is a great idea with equally great execution. I wish they could've included more characters like Green Lantern, Tails, or any actual Midway Arcade game characters, but what we got was still really great. There's such a massive variety of different characters and worlds, and they all have a ton of personality and uniqueness to them. My favorite character by far is Sonic. TT Games captured him super well in this game with his absolutely blistering speed, his spindash, and even his homing attack. Some of my other favorites are Supergirl, Jake the Dog, Finn the Human, and Raven. Overall this game is absurdly hard to set up, but after you set it up it does not disappoint! I adore this game, and it's easily my second favorite LEGO game of all time.
