The cast was amazing and Scorsese is obviously very talented, but this was a movie that didn't have to be made. Brutally slow and not worth the time.
I think the actor playing the main character does a good job in this. The writing isn't fantastic, but its decent. The writing (and acting) for the U.S. officers is pretty cringe-worthy across the board. The worst is definitely the head ICE agent (Wolf's boss)... not only is the writing bad, but he goes in and out of a Canadian accent which is just weird. I'll keep watching - hopefully it returns and gets a few fixes in season 2.
