I would like to say that this movie was inspiring for me in changing my life for the better. Before this film, I was a 35 year old married man with two kids and a golden retriever named Phillip. Then, I saw this movie. Let me start off by saying that besides being entertaining (I have seen this film over twenty times), I decided that my life was mundane and boring and a change was necessary.
So, I moved out of the house and decided to follow my dream to become a dancer. My mother and all her friends had always said I was the best Macarena dancer at my Bar Mitzvah, and this just seemed appropriate. I am currently in the local theater production of "Jesus Christ Superstar", but a little bird is in my ear whispering "Broadway" as we speak. I feel great about my life for once, and we can all thank this movie.

This movie was the most extraordinary thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Movies that have have more dancing than acting are not usually called movies but instead dance recitals, however, this is an exception. It reminded me of when I was 10 years old and my little sister had a dance recital and all my relatives came in and everyone was so proud. It was a great feeling, sort of like how Christmas feels.
Long story short, check this movie out. You may forget it is a movie because there are no real actors in it and no plot either, but just forget all that. There's a whole lot of dancing, and sometimes that is what life is all about.

This is not only the greatest kid's film of its year, but a great movie for anyone between the ages 4 months to somewhere around 96 years old. When Paul Giamatti is turned blue, I lose my breath. It is an incredible metaphor, although many may disagree. Our fearless hero, Jason (played by Shakespearean and longtime theater actor Frankie Muniz), is reminiscent of Ben Hur and Lawrence of Arabia. In other words, a character so powerful and awe-inspiring, it makes you believe that they are almost a second coming of good old JC himself.
The scene where Jason (Muniz) and female lead Amanda Bynes try on clothes and props in the movie studio may make you laugh, but it proves to be the film's most poignant and memorable scene. This too is a metaphor, for trying different things in life. In other words, next time you feel like breaking into a movie studio and aimlessly knocking props over and wearing movie costumes that actually do cost money, do it. And that is an important message to get from the movie.
