  • Forget The Critics! This Movie Is Good (Okay..so I'm a critic too then).

First of all, if you read Leonard Maltin's review of this film...forget he wrote it. Leonard Maltin's been wrong about a lot of reviews, and this is one of them. In fact, you shouldn't trust any critic about any movie. Your eyes are the one watching the movie for your brain...not theirs. Ok, to finally get to my review of "One More Saturday Night": it is a good movie. The only thing you need to remember before watching it is that the movie takes place in a town in Minnesota, on one particular Saturday night. There are a few different plots to follow, but it's nothing that will confuse even the slowest viewer. The movie stars (although it doesn't freely admit it) Al Franken, best known for his work on Saturday Night Live and his political commentaries. He does a believable performance as a nerdy-like and very likable star of a band that's doing a stop-over for a gig in the town. Franken's character doesn't try to come off being too suave, nor does he do any over-acting at all in the movie. The rest of the stars also do a good part in making the movie go along. Best of all, the movie's jokes are funny. Sure it's a dumb kind of funny most of the time, but a laugh is a laugh. The bottom line is, as long as you aren't picky about your movies, this is the movie for you. It's re-playable too (you won't get sick of it the first time out...unless you're the picky type that I mentioned).

  • A Great Entertaining Movie. Don't Believe What The Others Say

This was a really good movie. It was entertaining, that's all that matters. I think the "self-proclaimed" Archie buffs who gave the bad comments about this movie didn't watch it with an open-mind. Even if you read the comic books, you would find this movie believable. Sure it would've been nice if the characters in the comic books turned out to be just the way you wanted them to be, but that's not what life's about. You should expect to be disappointed in life, just as with this movie. If you plan on being disappointed when you go to watch this movie, then you'll be relieved when you watch this movie (because it isn't all that bad). Going in with high hopes will give you the Siskel-Ebert syndrome where you find yourself scrutinizing every scene and character interaction. So I recommend this movie to anyone who has an open mind, and who's a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (the TV show that's no longer around). If you can make fun of a movie, and still enjoy it, then you're getting your money's worth. Like it or hate it, Return To Riverdale is worth the money (you just gotta be open-minded).

  • If you thought the show was weird and cheesy, you'll love the movie

There may be some who might think that this movie is nasty in how it approaches Greg and Marcia's relationship. Yes, they are step-brother and step-sister, although that's as far as they're related. They are not blood related, so technically there can't really be anything sick about it. The whole idea about them having "almost intimate" moments in the movie is because it was an obvious way for the producer(s) to poke fun at the show. On the show, Greg and Marcia got along a little "too well" for step-children. If you noticed this in the show, as well as all the other quirks with the Brady clan (not excluding Alice), then you should watch this movie. I found it hilarious mainly because I thought the show was incredibly cheesy. This movie also closes some of the chapters that were left open with the show. For instance...whatever happened to that dog the Brady's had? And there's a prequel to this movie too. It's also a good movie. You just got to have a good sense of humor to enjoy the jokes and low-brow fun.
