Rogue-like games are a genre I never previously enjoyed, but Hades is superb and has become one of my all-time favourites. Dying during a run in Hades never frustrates me because there are no downsides to it.
I have been playing video games for 45 years and have high standards. After nearly 400 Hades runs, I can honestly say that the artistic style, voice acting, design, gameplay, music and software testing are worthy of high praise.
P. S. If you play this on a PC boyo, do yourself a favour and use a programmable gaming mouse with a thumb button, or a compatible gamepad. The game is still excellent without one, but a programmable thumb button for the game's Special move is very helpful.

It should be noted that some of the reviews here are so excessively unfair in their criticism and ratings that quite frankly they are not worth paying much attention to. Being British, I watched it with English subtitles and enjoyed it, so perhaps it is weaker from the perspective of a Swedish native.
The series was well worth my time, with some interesting characters and stories that deserved more space for further development. Some of the characters struggle with psychological problems as a result of their work and/or events in their personal lives, and I thought this was portrayed reasonably realistically.
It is somewhat dark and you will not be spoon-fed happy endings, but is all the better for that.

I saw many episodes of The Shield when it originally aired in the UK, but just finished watching all of it again. This is my favourite 'cop show' of all time and I have been watching them for about 40 years, although I feel that by calling it a cop show I have somehow done it an injustice. It is simply one of the best television dramas I have ever watched.
It really is superb, and much of the acting talent and writing is so outstanding that many of the characters are entirely believable and will be burned into my memory for a very long time.
