Bad Bunny's music is not my cup of tea so I won't grade him as a musical guest, but as a host, the guy is hilarious!! I laughed so hard watching this episode's sketches. Luckily, my Spanish is better than 3rd-grade level so I was able to understand some of his Spanglish, but even if I didn't, I think I would still find the skits amusing. (Also, Mick Jagger!!) Whenever I'm having a lowkey day and need a pick-me-up, I watch this episode's "The Age of Discovery" sketch on SNL's YouTube channel and I'm back on track. Brilliant!
What a sweet, funny, heartwarming series! And so many of the plots are really fresh, unlike any I've watched before.
The cast is great, especially the young lady who plays Genevieve. She's brilliant! Everyone is so relaxed in their role, you'd think they weren't acting. They're mildly chaotic roles but played very naturally. (Especially the guy who plays Alex.)
I only found out about this series now (June 2025), but I've known of Josh Thomas since watching him as a contestant in Taskmaster Australia (I'm in the US, so I didn't know of any of his prior work). He was hilarious on Taskmaster so when I saw this series featured on Hulu, I knew I had to watch it. Now I'm officially a Josh Thomas fan and look forward to watching all his other work.
I wish they made more shows with heart like this one. It was such a great watch. I rarely give out 10-star ratings for TV shows (I usually reserve those for series with intense character development, high production value, etc.) but this one deserves every single one of the 10 stars.

I don't understand why this movie doesn't have a higher IMDB rating, as it is excellent *in its category* - one of my favorites.
I found the plot of the movie very entertaining and not run of the mill for this type of action comedy. Never once I got bored or wanted to multitask like I do with 99% of the movies released in the last 20 years (for reference, this review is from 2025, almost 40 years after this movie's release). I can only describe it as a lighter version of a mix between "WarGames" (1983, starring Matthew Broderick) and "Beverly Hills Cop" (1984, starring Eddie Murphy), with great music plus a bit of British flair because of its storyline. It is very watchable and even engrossing.
Whoopi Goldberg is hilarious as the lead character. We're used to seeing her as a panelist in "The View" but she was quite the comedienne back then (maybe she still is, that part I don't know ... or perhaps one never stops being a comedian/comedienne if one was ever one? Ok, nevermind.). I found myself laughing really hard at times. Her timing, her faces, her acting ... all brilliantly funny.
The soundtrack of this movie is, as one would expect, fantastic. I mean ... the title alone says it all. It's also well placed throughout the movie, from the very beginning, and really adds to the rhythm and tone of some of the scenes.
This was Penny Marshall's directorial debut, and while this didn't require a Michael Bay-type of explosion and setting, I think she did a fantastic job.
If you love the '80s, action comedies, and great music, I think you'll enjoy this movie as much as I did. And even if you don't like any of those things, you'll probably still like it (but wouldn't rate it 10, like I did).
