  • This is a well produced, sometimes exciting, often silly, TV remake of the classic.

The scenery and the production values make this a pretty watchable TV remake. The cast is generally good, although Abbie Dalton is a bit much as Calamity Jane. The best acting is provided by David Macklin as a young trooper who comes apart at the death of his friend in an Indian attack.

  • Spooky and gruesome goings on as a cannibal lures young ladies to his gloomy mansion for "dinner".

The production values and cast are quite good in this often horrifying suspenseful and gory picture. Lawrence Harvey is chilling as a "it's not his fault" cannibal. Meg Foster is good as a damsel about to be eaten and David Macklin is excellent as the handsome hero who comes to her aid.

  • A mentally and physically scarred killer rampages though the west, raping and killing, pursued by a vengeful posse.ash

A Man for Hanging is an engrossing often gruesome Film Noir Western. The camera work and score are good. The cast of seasoned professionals is excellent, including Peter Breck as the monster killer, Michael Pataki as a scummy Mexican bandit and David Macklin as a hunky, hot headed but sensitive hero.
