Shirer's book written in the early 60's was far better and more inclusive. This skips over many relevant actions. I've read too many books about WW1 and WW2 and have always been more fascinated by the first war and how it started. The release of this documentary seems to be a not so subtle suggestion that Trump is the new Hitler. Going so far as to mention Hitler's mountain lair being the equivalent of Trump's Mar-A-Lago. Not sure how long this was in the works, but I would guess this was timed to come out before the election. It's still good but read the book instead if you want a better account of the times.
I laughed out loud at some of the positive reviews on here. They were better examples of fiction writing than this script.
This is easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Plot is laughable, effects are underwhelming and the acting is atrocious. I seriously didn't care about a single character. The amount of flashbacks, flash forwards and I think flash sideways you just lose track of where you are. In the end it makes no difference. It all sucks just sooooooo hard.
The checklist for diversity was long, but they nailed it. It seems over the top and so obvious that it's laughable. Maybe if the acting and writing was better it wouldn't be so ridiculous.
Hitting yourself in the hand with a hammer might be more enjoyable.
Avoid at all costs.

Being from the States I have found over the past 10 years I gravitate towards UK shows because the are quite simply miles better than the drivel we churn out in the US. I think it's because they tend to do more with less. Most shows are only 4-8 episodes per season. Much less dialogue as well. They let the viewer figure things out on their own without constantly running off off at the mouth assuming viewers can't grasp the plot unless the characters explain every last detail.
I started this show because I'm a huge fan of Nicola Walker. I love her in every show she has been in. First 2 seasons gave quickly vaulted this show up my lists of favorite shows. Not quite Broadchurch, but what is?
