I first gave this show an eight but after watching the whole season I think a seven is more appropriate.
HOWEVER I would have liked to give it a nine but they just went a bit off center with casting. The over weight female with magic computer skills and psychic intuition smacks of a rip off from another crime show and, to be honest, they had already, IMO, driven it into the ground.
A couple other members of the case were there to make the budget work or keep one of the producer's happy, I don't know which but...
Overall, however, very watchable, and a good Summer release. I'm looking forward to season two.

Sorry, I was really looking forward to this one but, sadly, it's left me flat! It feels like a new driver trying to learn how to drive a stick shift, jerking along in a succession of starts and stops skipping around from scene to scene and bypassing some important parts of the story line.
All too often I was wondering if we missed something! Did I nod off for a few minutes? I think Mr. Costner needs to go back and get the sweepings from the cutting room floor and splice them back into the story line, let it run for four hours, or even five, if need be, and put it back out there so we can enjoy ALL of the story.
I'm sorry, I REALLY don't like writing this but I feel it needed to be said.

While we're not, quite, finished with this mini-series yet we're far enough along to see where we're going.
There should be a solid eight stars across the board for this production but Hollywood's absolute need to follow DEI trend even when it could not, under any circumstances, produce anything but a ruinous outcome defies logic that even a child should be able to follow.
Good acting, good costuming, set design, etc that for no reason these totally out of place and time individuals of color populate the cast. This is reminiscent of casting Joey Bishop and other obviously white men as a Native Americans.
