This movie was terrible on so many levels. It's basically a rip off of Kevin Smith's life. It's about a slacker who can't figure out what to do in life. So he decides to make a movie but has no idea how. I know there's a bit more to this movie but after the first 50 minutes I stopped watching. I don't know how Kevin Smith could allow this to be made. It's like watching the making of Clerks or something. Witless dialogue, stiff acting and just painful to watch. The only interesting character was Patrick played by Donovan Leitch.
So overall don't waste your time on this unless you have never heard of Kevin Smith, seen a Kevin Smith movie or you just like lame half-assed slacker movies. Which i guess you can't expect much from.

What can I say? the hype machine pushing this movie obviously went overboard and it ended up letting me down. I admit im not much of an Eminem fan but I have respect for what he's doing in music. As a actor, ya he held his own. Nothing great, nothing horrible. The real stand out in the movie was Mekhi Pheifer. He's a scene stealer for sure. Brittany Murphy's character was flat and boring, Kim Basinger didn't make me feel like how i thought i should feel for her and the story was just slow. I was 65 minutes into it and still waiting for something interesting to happen, but alas, it never really did. Even the "Big Showdown" at the end was a let down. IMO Eminem should have left this story in his past. 4 maybe 5 stars is all i give this one.
Im a HUGE fan of the first Wishmaster movie. The Djinn has the makings for a classic horror movie villian. That said, here we go.
Now I was a bit skeptical of seeing this movie at first. It just appeared on the shelf at my local Blockbuster, no theatrical release, no buzz, nothing. So I was expecting a pretty poor movie. I was pleasantly incorrect. It may not be as good as the first, but hey, what sequels are? This flick is gory as they come. I always wince when i see the guy being pushed through the jailhouse bars. And what can you not like about Andrew Divoff. He is the second evilest man alive, next to Christopher Walken("I carried this watch..up my ass..") heh heh. Anyways, I was impressed with this movie. Even if you're not a fan of the first movie or gore in general, it's worth watching for Divoff's classy performance.
