  • A Great Movie with Hundreds Remarkable Mots

Undoubtedly one of best Czech movies of the last time. Maybe "Pelísky" could compete, but that is all. Clever plot, intelligent dialogs, original funny tricks, over fifty links to other movies such as "Limonádový Joe", "Pulp Fiction", "Batman" and others.

Vilma Cibulková is great, smoking cigarettes with long, extremely long cigarette-holder, drinking whiskey from big, extremely big glass, having big, very big breasts...

In episode roles appear such great Czech actors as Dusek, Holubová, Preis, Standler, Vávra, Vorel, Trojan, and many many many others.

  • Since the thieves appeared on scene, the movie became more a comedy than a drama.

You know, we all love David Fincher, but this piece is surely not a drama or thriller. I was really scared and feared in the first 10 or 15 minutes, but that was all! As the very dangerous and efficient thieves appeared, the whole athmosphere of the movie was gone. You only wait - from this moment - what they will do, where they will not succed. Quite boring and with the worst end imaginable.

  • Good craftwork - in my opinion - but a completely fairy-tale story.

I guess French movies don't have such huge money sources like Americans, surely not like George Lucas, but still the movie looks better than StarWars - Episode II (which is more a cartoon than a real movie, in fact). Unfortunately the story is weak (comparing to From Hell for example), it is more a fairy-tale than a crime, thriller or even action.
