It is a shame that they had to reboot this series. The second film was bad enough.
The storylines in this 3 season series are just so boring & unrelatable. They project this image that as you age your world gets narrower & you concentrate on the superficial aspects of life. Charlotte is especially guilty of this. Who cares about her 1st world, super rich problems.
The new members that were brought in, did not compensate for the loss of Samantha. The 3 originals are just not as good as the 4! That was the whole thing in Sex & the City - the friendship between the 4 women.
Miranda & Charlotte's lives did not add up to the colourful life of Samantha.
The Carrie/Aiden relationship should have been left as done & not rekindled. I wanted to remember him as the one that got away. In this, he looked a bit more pathetic.
The last episode of season 3 left it open in some ways to a fourth season but I am glad that is not happening. Enough is enough.

This was a change from my K drama viewing & the Japanese have a different style when it comes to their drama. It is not so slick & stylized. There was far more emphasis on the music rather than the romance. The characters seemed more realistic. I found it interesting the intensity of these musicians for their craft.
The ML was certainly charismatic & I believed he was this flawed character. Can he be excused for his behaviour at times because he is a genius? I did not know why the FL was so taken with him as there was so many issues to overcome in being with someone like that.
The other 2 in the band contributed well to the overall story of the band. Toya from the rival band was a far more intriguing character & it was a shame after his incident we didn't get to see him more but only in the last episode. I didn't understand why he would be singing the same song as TENBLANK as their style was so different. The corrupt ex-manager was hard to fathom his interaction with the ML.
The last episode was just about the concert which I felt was a bit of a letdown.
Overall, it was a moving portrayal of a very intense industry. No wonder so many musicians die young.
