The plot is very predictable and it's kinda short for a modestly budgeted survival movie set in the wildlands of Africa. Idris Elba is great and so is Sharlto Copley in his first major movie in awhile. The cgi on the lions is very good but can't beat the cgi of The Lion King remake and the current MGM logo which uses a cgi lion for the first time in its history. There are no post credit scenes in this film so feel free to leave the cinema when the lights go on.
From the director of John Wick 3 comes this funny action thriller set on a bullet train traveling through Japan and based on a little known book from Japan. Brad Pitt Sandra Bullock and other stars make this $90 million movie a surprise hit at the box office which right now is slowing down after doing quite well during this still pandemic year. Be sure to stay after the main credits for a little scene.
